NASP GRANTS

UPDATE:   ESDF is partnering with NASP (National Archery in the Schools Program) and other groups to help fund schools that are interested in NASP.  If your school is interested in running NASP please contact your local state representative (find yours at www.nasparchery.com) under contacts.)  Please note that beginning July 1st, 2011, ESDF will no longer process requests for NASP funding directly from the schools. all requests will need to go through the NASP state representative.

ESDF GRANTS NONPROFIT REQUIREMENTS

To be qualified, all NONPROFIT organizations must submit the following materials:

  1. A completed application.
  2. A copy of the Internal Revenue Service letter of exemption from federal income tax notice and/or letter including the employer identification number (EIN);
  3. A copy of the latest Form 990 tax return of the organization filed with the Internal Revenue Service;
  4. A copy of the most recent audited annual financial statements of the organization or financials prepared by your CPA;
  5. A directory of the organization staff, officers, and board of directors;
  6. A listing of the key sources of revenue for the organization or individual showing contributors and amounts received during the last three years.
  7. A letter certifying that the organization will not use the ESDF grant to fund, in whole or in part, any program, project or activity that promotes or encourages opposition to any forms of regulated hunting of wildlife (by guns or bows), or the practice of shooting arrows for target archery or bowhunting.
  8. For government entities (including public schools) only items #1 and #6 are required.
  9. For grants that are over $25,000 please also include a list of anticipated donors and a project budget.

In general, FOR-PROFIT AND PRIVATE SECTOR APPLICANTS are not eligible for a grant, even though they are doing work that meets the Foundation’s objectives. Any for-profit organization may still submit a grant request for consideration, and if it meets the Foundation Goals, ESDF may direct your grant request to another organization.

Supplemental information or material examples (i.e., pamphlets, booklets, fliers, etc.) provided in addition to the proposal that help the Committee evaluate the applicant’s organization or proposal will be accepted. All key information for consideration should be presented in the proposal narrative.
