c. School should have a student body of 150 or more between grades 5-12.
2. Instructor Eligibility
a. All instructors wishing to teach archery with OAS equipment must earn OAS certification. The OAS certification class includes 8 hours of instruction, and is equivalent to the USA Archery Basic Instructor certification.
b. Instructors must be willing to adhere to OAS teaching methods and practices, and follow OAS safety procedures.
3. Range and Equipment Guidelines
a. School should have a safe and secure location to set up an archery range, and a dry, secure location to store OAS equipment. Proposed range and storage spaces may be inspected by an OAS agent before the delivery of equipment takes place.
b. OAS equipment shall be used exclusively by students and certified instructors while participating in the OAS program.
c. Students participating in the OAS program must be able to understand the safety procedures and handle the equipment with proper discretion.
4. Absolutely no damaged equipment can be used in the program. If any equipment is found to be damaged or showing signs of breakage, it must be removed immediately. Some equipment can be repaired or replaced by the instructor, such as arrow rests, bow strings, sights, nock sets, nocks, and feathers. For all other equipment problems, please notify an OAS representative. Any damaged or broken equipment that cannot be fixed by the instructor will be repaired or replaced by OAS.
5. All additional equipment requests must be made in writing (fax or email is acceptable) to an OAS representative.
