Providing quality instruction to our OAS Students is our top priority. Along with the equipment, training, and events we provide, we have put together a curriculum for a beginning archery class. The lessons are very specific and allow students to practice the basics of archery in a methodical and effective way. However, we encourage instructors to customize the curriculum to best meet the needs of their class.
The curriculum has been designed to:
- Meet NASPE Standards (National Association for Sport and Physical Education)
- Teach students the fundamentals of the National Training System
- Have students practice safety and responsibility on the range
- Provide a variety of assessment opportunities and methods such as worksheets, peer reviews, competitions, and exams
- Help you manage a large class while still teaching effectively by using student leaders, group work, peer coaching, and team activities
