MEIJER STATE GAMES OF MICHIGAN ANNOUNCES 2018 VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR
Grand Rapids, Mich., December 28, 2018 – Officials with the Meijer State Games of Michigan announced Jeff DeRegnaucourt as their 2018 Volunteer of the Year. Following the Meijer State Games of Michigan – Summer Gamer, a volunteer is selected as Volunteer of the Year. The recipient is nominated by athletes, fellow volunteers, spectators and tournament directors. Lake Michigan Credit Union is a proud supporter of Meijer State Games of Michigan volunteers and proud to present the Volunteer of the Year award.
The 2018 Volunteer of the Year along with the 2018 Athletes of the Year will be recognized at the February 15 Grand Rapids Griffins game. The Griffins will be hosting Meijer State Games of Michigan athletes and will have an on ice athlete parade to kick off the 2019 Winter Games.
DeRegnaucourt has been involved with the Meijer State Games of Michigan Archery event since 2011 when Archery was first added to the Games. He has been the tournament director for both the Winter and Summer Games Archery events. He was nominated by a first-time participant in the Archery event, who noted how it was well organized, fun and a “must do” event in the future.
