Easton Sports Development Foundation
Announces New Executive Leadership Structure
“I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve ESDF in this new capacity... to advance the sport of archery and serve the communities that make this mission so meaningful.”
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Easton Sports Development Foundation (ESDF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ken Lane as Executive Director, effective July 20, 2026.
Ken brings more than 30 years of leadership experience across business, nonprofit organizations, and organizational development. He has partnered with founders, boards, and executive teams to clarify vision, navigate change, and turn strategy into results.
For the past twelve years, Ken has served as a trusted advisor to the Easton Sports Development Foundation and Easton family leadership, contributing to strategic planning, organizational development, and long-term visioning. His deep familiarity with ESDF's mission, culture, and partnerships across the archery community positions him well for this next chapter of growth.
Ken will be based in Colorado Springs and will lead the Foundation’s efforts to expand its impact, identify new opportunities to grow the sport of archery, and strengthen the communities it serves.
As part of this new leadership structure, Caren Sawyer will assume the role of Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer. In this position, she will continue to lead the Foundation’s finance and operations, including oversight of the operations team.
Caren has done an outstanding job as Executive Director and has been instrumental in guiding the Foundation through an important period of growth. Her financial expertise, operational leadership, and deep institutional knowledge have been essential to the Foundation’s success. In her new role, Caren will continue to provide that leadership while focusing on the financial and operational excellence that has been such an important part of ESDF’s success.
"As the Foundation looks to expand its impact over the coming years, this leadership structure allows us to dedicate greater focus to both operations and future growth opportunities," said Greg Easton, Chairman of the Easton Sports Development Foundation. "I am excited to welcome Ken as our new Executive Director. His combination of nonprofit leadership, business experience, and firsthand knowledge of ESDF will complement our existing leadership team exceptionally well. Together, I am confident Ken and Caren will help position ESDF to accomplish great things that we will look back on with pride."
"I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve ESDF in this new capacity. For more than a decade, I have had the privilege of walking alongside Greg, the Board, Caren, and the ESDF team. I am excited to build on that foundation as we work together to advance the sport of archery and serve the communities that make this mission so meaningful."
"I look forward to working with Ken to continue the growth of the sport of archery. I am excited to see all we will accomplish with Ken’s insight and through the impact of the resources of the Easton Foundations," commented Caren Sawyer.
